Floral Grapes? And pinstripes of course
Hey you awesome people,
I haven't posted in a whole week! I just didn't know what to post, or am just uninspired as of late. But when I logged on, DAMN, my jaw just dropped! I'm up to 500 post views! Wowzers, that's a lot to me. My most viewed post is my Sinful Colors Sinful Shine swatch post, second is my Island Girl swatch post. I guess people like my swatches c: That makes me giddy xD
OK, on to the actual reason for this post...
Apologies in advance for the lack of mani-photos.
I recently got my striping tape in and wanted to try it. Please don't mind my lack in floral painting skills. My boyfriend even said they look like grapes -____- Well I think they're cute grapes. But can I just say that I love love LOVE striping tape? I always avoided striped mani's because I could never cut my scotch tape so uniformly. Stripes are one of my favorite patterns and I'm so glad I got those dang striping tape things. They're kind of hard to handle though.
I kind of got my inspiration from KaitlinFerland of The Daily Polish. I always loved how she would mix up her nail art by doing designs on two of her nails side by side, then paint the rest of her nails a plain color.
Colors I used are:
- Tea Beauty Lavender Sugar (pink color)
- Revlon Bare Bones (nude color)
- Wet n Wild On a Trip (dark purple)
- Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac (light purple)
- Loreal New Money (leaf green)
- Sinful Shine Rendezvous (leaf detail)
- Sinful Shine I'm Blushing (pinkie pinstripe)
Base and Top Coats:
- Duri Rejuvacote (base)
- NYC In a New York Minute Quick Dry Polish Grand Central Station (top coat)

Island Girl Nail Polish: My First Batch, AND I LIVE IN HAWAII! -____-
Hi guys,
I haven't even heard of Island Girl till I read about it in an article about cuticle care a couple of weeks/a month ago. It was on Pinterest I think. I thought they only made the cuticle oil too! I didn't really pay attention to it because I didn't really like oils on my hands, I much preferred cream. Then I found out that they only sell it at Abc stores. I thought they sold the oil at Sephora or Ulta or something. There are a ton of Abc stores on Maui, like why haven't I heard of them? I find it so sad lol. Well it kind of makes sense since I don't really venture into Abc stores, they're more for tourists, which means tourists = expensive. I decided to check out the nearest Abc store for Island Girl; the display was so full!

Chevron and Floral Nail Art
Hello guys!
This is the first time I did some nail art in a while! I've always been in love with the chevron print, and just sharpened my pinking shears so I thought, why not right? I also saw a beautiful rose print that TheCraftyNinja posted on instagram, she also did a tutorial on it too! Go check out her page, she's one of the first nail accounts I followed on Instagram. She's so talented. Well, I tried to make a rose inspired by that but it kind of just looks like a big blob lol.

Onyx Professional: 100% Pure Acetone Nail Polish Remover Review
Hello lovelies!
I'm going to do a review on the Onyx 100% Pure Acetone Polish Remover with the pink rubber bristles. Jar removers similar to this usually have a sponge with three holes that you stick your finger in. I, personally, didn't like those kind of removers because they didn't last long and the polish stuck to the sponge, rendering it useless after only a couple of times. I saw this at my local Walmart and decided to try it, since it wasn't a sponge remover. It retails at Walmart for $3.75.

Sinful Colors: Sinful Shine with Gel Tech Swatches
Hi guys! I'm back with a review of Sinful Colors' new Sinful Shine with Gel Tech line. It claims to have "5x more glossy than a patented leather shoe".
Retails for $2.99, whereas the regular SC polish is just $1.99.
After hearing about another new Sinful Colors collection on Instagram, I wanted to check it out but thought, oh it's probably another collection with permanent line repeats again. I saw this display in the "nailpolish" hashtag and I just had to see it. You know a collection has so much colors if the display goes vertical instead of horizontal.

I purchased 12 of the 32 colors but I plan on going back for more hehe.
I did manini (small) swatches on each finger because I can't find the time to swatch each polish on my whole hand. I'll save that for another day.
All were done with no top coat.

Essie Maximillian Strasse-Her
Hi lovelies!
Don't hate but I was "formally" an Essie hater after multiple bad experiences with their polishes. It was mainly the pastel, light shades because of the sheer, streaky-ness that made me loathe them. It wasn't until about 2 weeks ago that I decided to try it out again.

Sephora Birthday Haul
Hello lovelies,
This is a day late but I was waiting until I got my blog started up to do an actual haul, which will be my first official one ever! EXCITING! Well, as you know, I don't shop high end much because 1) I don't make money to be splurging like that, and 2) it's about an hour away, in my case I have to drive around a freaking mountain. But since I was on that side and I had a good amount of money, I wanted to get the beloved L'Occitane hand cream that I've been lusting over.
Walking into Sephora, I had no idea what else I wanted other than that hand cream so I just bee-lined it to the display. Little did I know there were different scents! This was a good and bad thing. Good because there's variety, bad because I had no idea which to pick.

Hot Pink with a Coral-ly Peach.
Four days ago, it was my 21st birthday! Awesome right? Clubbing, drinking till I throw up, endless "red cup" photos. No, I didn't drink an ounce, nor did I dance my panties off. Instead I got to stay at the Westin Kaanapali for two days and a night. I also got some sweet birthday money and guess what I spend some of it on...that's right! POLISH!! I got various drugstore polishes and one Sephora by OPI polish that was on sale for $3. I'm trying to decide on which one to use this week. Should I do a vibrant hot pink, or a simple light nude? I decided on the hot pink since I have a wedding to go to next week, I'll do the nude then.

FIRST POST EVAR!
Hey guys,
It's my first post ever! For the past couple of days, I've been scouring my favorite blogs for their first post just to see what they put. Some of them are pretty simply put as it being their first post ever and being excited on this grand journey known as blogging. Others go right off the bat with a swatch or jelly sandwich they tried out. I thought and thought, what should my first post be? I'll just go ahead and do an about me post, seems simple enough.
